Winemaker Lorenzo started producing wines with his father Mario in 2003, and they are based in the smallest of Barolo’s 11 villages, Roddi. They own vines in Roddi, Alba, La Morra, and Rodello, all within 15km of the winery, and they are farmed with organic fertilisers and without herbicides. Indigenous yeast is used for fermentation, and ageing occurs in a combination of barriques and 500/600L tonneaux. In Lorenzo’s own words, “I try my best to achieve a Barolo rich in body, elegant and with a long-lasting taste. The same passion of a tailor inspires me during these moments, as it was in the old times of traditional winemaking in Barolo region.”
