Julio Bruno
Founder and CEO
Julio Bruno, the founder and CEO of BeBeMe, has wine flowing through his veins since his early days in Spain, when he found himself immersed in the family tradition of producing wine, playfully stomping on grapes and crafting exquisite libations for his loved ones to savour.
Infatuated with the natural artistry of winemaking and an unwavering appreciation for diverse grape varieties, Julio’s heart has forever been captivated by great wines. His lifelong dream of being a part of the wine industry finally came to fruition when he embraced the opportunity to join forces with Mercato Metropolitano.
But there’s more to this vinous virtuoso than meets the eye. Prior to BeBeME, he served as the global CEO of TimeOut Plc., leaving an indelible mark on many cities around the world.
He is the Chairman of Mercato Metropolitano, London’s first Sustainable Community Market with 4 locations in the city and expanding internationally. Julio is also the Executive Chairman of Lío Group, the international luxury group where fine dining and a unique show combine perfectly for an incredible experience. Separately, he acts as an investor and/or board director to a number of organisations around the world.
Gianbattista Patti
Beverage director and buyer
I’m Gianbattista, Gianba for friends, a beverage lover who has passionately worked and lived the London hospitality scene for the past 7 years. I’m the Beverage Director and Buyer at BeBeMe, a boutique wine bar concept and beverage importing agency in the UK. Our mission is simple: to bring happiness and joy to people through unique and niche products from the beverage industry worldwide.
Before BeBeMe, I was the Head of Beverage and Buyer at Mercato Metropolitano, where I successfully developed an importing wine program and portfolio. In the past, I’ve also worked hands-on in the NOBU Hospitality Group, assisting the company group bar manager with bar operations and directing the team.
As an experienced professional in the beverage industry, I’m skilled in creating winning menus, working with vendors, maintaining inventories, coordinating staff, and meeting and exceeding industry standards.
Sam Bevan
General Manager and Operations Manager
I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years and in a variety of positions from cocktail bartender through to Bar Operations Manager at venues ranging from casual dining to natural wine bars and everything in between.
My love of food, wine and entertaining drives what I do and after opening 4 venues over the past 7 years I believe in building teams who are passionate and enjoy what they do. I’ve always been keen to provide the best possible product with a specific focus on quality, sourcing and environmental impact and then delivering this with exemplary service that guests will not only enjoy but remember.
Tshayne Brewster
HR and Admin Manager
Hi, my name is Tshayne Brewster, and I am a HR and Admin Manager here at BeBeMe. I joined the company in 2023. I graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a bachelor’s degree in law with Business. Throughout my studies I learnt how the HR department is the backbone for all companies which inspired me to pursue a career in Human Resources.
Knowing that my contribution will be part of the driving force that steers the company in the right way. Being a startup has given me the opportunity to expand on the company culture. Ensuring that each employee comes to work feeling fully supported and motivated.

Kassia la Cour

Hey there! I’m Kassia la Cour, and my journey in hospitality began when I was just 15 years old. Starting out as a waitress and barista in a small café in South London, I quickly fell in love with creating memorable experiences for guests. Fast forward a few years, and I’ve had the privilege of managing and working in some amazing businesses, both in Copenhagen and London, soaking in invaluable insights along the way.
At BeBeMe, I serve as the Assistant Manager and play a role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional customer service. I work to ensure everything runs like clockwork to provide the best service I can, and as the Social Media Manager, I get to blend my love for film and photography with marketing and promotion, creating the perfect fusion of my passions and skills.
What truly excites me about my role at BeBeMe is the enchanting world of wine. Exploring the complexities and nuances of this extraordinary industry fuels my passion and drives me to continuously expand my knowledge.
Carl Busby
Assistant Manager
Hi, my name is Carl Busby. I’m originally from Birmingham but I have lived in London for half of my life. I started my career as a commis waiter for Nobu for 12 years and worked my way up the ranks. I progressed my career through managerial roles. I have learnt so much in hospitality and I thrive in knowing how to make my guests and team happy.
I love wine! I enjoy talking about wine even more. I’m currently an assistant manager at BeBeMe and I’m continually learning new things about the wine industry every day. When I’m not working, I have a passion for football where my team is Aston Villa.
