Julio Bruno, is the Founder and CEO of BeBeMe. Born in Spain, he developed his love of wine early, shaped by family traditions and a lasting appreciation for the craft, culture and conviviality that great wine brings.

He is also Executive Chairman of Lío Group, the international luxury dining and entertainment group, and owner of Bottles, the Italian restaurant and wine bar in Old Spitalfields Market, London. An international executive, investor and board adviser, Julio previously held senior leadership roles at Time Out Group plc where he was its CEO, TripAdvisor and Diageo.

Beverage director and buyer

I’m Gianbattista, Gianba for friends, a beverage lover who has passionately worked and lived the London hospitality scene for the past 7 years. I’m the Beverage Director and Buyer at BeBeMe, a boutique wine bar concept and beverage importing agency in the UK. Our mission is simple: to bring happiness and joy to people through unique and niche products from the beverage industry worldwide.

Before BeBeMe, I was the Head of Beverage and Buyer at Mercato Metropolitano, where I successfully developed an importing wine program and portfolio. In the past, I’ve also worked hands-on in the NOBU Hospitality Group, assisting the company group bar manager with bar operations and directing the team.

As an experienced professional in the beverage industry, I’m skilled in creating winning menus, working with vendors, maintaining inventories, coordinating staff, and meeting and exceeding industry standards.

I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years and in a variety of positions from cocktail bartender through to Bar Operations Manager at venues ranging from casual dining to natural wine bars and everything in between.

My love of food, wine and entertaining drives what I do and after opening 4 venues over the past 7 years I believe in building teams who are passionate and enjoy what they do. I’ve always been keen to provide the best possible product with a specific focus on quality, sourcing and environmental impact and then delivering this with exemplary service that guests will not only enjoy but remember.

Admin Manager, Social Media & Events

Hello! I’m Kassia la Cour. Early on, I discovered my passion for creating memorable guest experiences. This passion has taken me through various roles, from managing teams to contributing to businesses in Copenhagen and London, where I’ve gained invaluable insights and honed my skills.

At BeBeMe, I wear multiple hats. As the Admin Manager, I help ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently. In my role as Event Coordinator, I take pride in planning and expanding events that bring wine lovers together. Additionally, as the Social Media Manager, I blend my love for film and photography with crafting content that resonates with our audience and highlights our brand’s unique offerings.

Alex Hirst

Trade Sales Manager

Alex is Trade Sales Manager for BeBeMe, the first point of contact for our hospitality and retail customers, and responsible for bringing the rich portfolio of BeBeMe wines to tables and shelves near you. Awarded the WSET Diploma in 2024, Alex has a deep knowledge of the wine world’s regions and top producers and two of his favourite varieties are Riesling and Pinot Noir. He is experienced in assisting sommeliers and beverage directors to build thought-provoking, delicious, and good value wine lists.

Previously he worked at acclaimed London importer and retailer Theatre of Wine in a hybrid management and on-trade sales role, leading over one hundred and twenty customer tastings and regularly attending trade events to source new wines.
