Azienda Argicola Perego & Perego
high-quality wines resulting from attention, care, and respect for nature
When discussing wine, it is crucial to consider the origin of the product. The relationship between the soil, environment, and grape variety is essential for creating exceptional wines.
Perego & Perego covers approximately 10.5 hectares of land and is located in Rovescala, where the borders of Emilia and Lombardy meet. As far back as the time of the Greeks and Romans, the Oltrepo region was recognised for its lush land and the spontaneous growth of vines in their natural habitat.
The microclimate of the region, combined with the soil’s composition, which is predominantly limestone and clay, create the ideal conditions for cultivating grapes. The area’s most common grape variety is Croatina, which is also available in its native varieties at Perego & Perego.
The winery adheres to organic farming standards, which means minimal pruning, soil management with plant nutrients and microorganisms, thinning of clusters, and careful manual harvesting to produce the best possible quality of grapes. The company has a historic underground cellar from the early 1800s.
Perego & Perego is a winery that values the tradition of Italian products. Against the trend of globalised flavors, the company offers high-quality wines resulting from attention, care, and respect for nature and a healthy diet. It operates in the organic, vegan, and wine sectors without added sulfites, with a sulfur dioxide content lower than 10 mg/l.
